Brief Description of the Block

Bhangore –I block situated at Dakshin Kalikapur , near Ghatakpukur. This block consists of 9 Gram Panchayats. Which are Bodra, Chandaneswar-I, Chandaneswar-II, Durgapur, Narayanpur, Pranganj, Jagulgachi, Sanksahar, Tardah.

Administrative Boundaries:

Bhangore-I Block consists of two (2) constituency . One is 148 Bhangore Assembly constituency and another one is 139 Canning East Assembly constituency. Jagulgachi, Pranganj, Narayanpur GPs belongs Under 148 Bhangore AC . Bodra, Chandaneswar-I, Chandaneswar-II, Durgapur, Sanksahar, Tardah belongs under 139 Canning East AC.Two police stations i.e Bhangore and KLC.This block consists of two (2) Parliamentary Constituency, which 22 jadavpur PC and 19 Jaynagar PC.

Kanyashree project is already running very successfully under Bhangore-I Block. In the year 2015-16, 1708 no. of fresh and 5461 no. of renewal, total 7169 no of incumbents have sanctioned for K1 scheme and 82 no of fresh and 1199 no of upgradation, total 1281 no of candidates have sanctioned for K2 scheme.

SBM (G) IHHL :

This project is running successfully under the Bhangore-I block. Targeted beneficiaries 39610 nos of IHHL scheme under Mission Nirmal Bangla. Out of which 30695 nos of IHHL beneficiarie’s construction have been Completed . Remaining 8915 nos of IHHL beneficiarie’s construction running at Gram Panchayat level.

Minority Scholarship :

It is a very usefull project under MsDP for the student. The no of pre-matric offline applicant 27360. No of online applicant (pre matric & post matric) is about 5500 and no of TSP applicant 3636. Already 75 % of students have received the scholarship.

Sabuj Sathi :
